RRR Women brings its iconic Long Lunch series to Rockhampton in June

RRR Women is bringing its popular Long Lunch series to Rockhampton in 2026, inviting women from across Central Queensland to come together for an inspiring afternoon of networking, collaboration and community connection.

The RRR Women’s Rockhampton Long Lunch: Together We Rise will provide a welcoming space for women in business, leadership and community roles to build meaningful professional relationships, share experiences and celebrate the achievements of women across the region.

Proudly supported by Community Underwriting, Moah Creek Wind Farm, Moore Australia and Stanwell, the event builds on the success of the longest-running event on the RRR Women calendar and reflects the organisation’s commitment to strengthening opportunities for rural, regional and remote women.

RRR Women Board Member Rebecca McLellan said the Rockhampton event was about creating genuine connections that support women to thrive professionally and personally.

“When women come together to share their experiences, challenges and successes, incredible things happen. The Rockhampton Long Lunch is about creating a space where women can connect, learn from one another and build the relationships that help drive long-term success in our businesses, communities and industries,” Ms McLellan said.

Guests will enjoy a delicious lunch and welcome drink while hearing from a guest speaker who has embraced collaboration as a pathway to success. The afternoon will also feature fundraising activities, including a silent auction and raffle.

“We know that strong networks are critical for women living and working in rural and regional Australia. Events like this provide an opportunity to strengthen those networks, celebrate achievements and create new opportunities for growth and collaboration,” Ms McLellan said.

“Plus, we’re excited to welcome our guest speaker, Sandii Leitch. A true rural woman at heart, Sandii’s journey is one of grit, passion, and purpose. From growing up on the land to discovering her love of running, she has transformed that passion into something extraordinary through her business, Run Ugly, now a thriving and supportive community right here in Rockhampton.”

RRR Women activities bring together women from diverse backgrounds to share knowledge, develop leadership skills and foster connections that strengthen regional communities. RRR Women is an independent, membership charity that connects, empowers, and supports women living, working and playing in rural, regional, and remote areas of Queensland. The organisation’s purpose is to foster personal and professional growth, leadership capacity, and community engagement among women, while advocating for issues that matter to them.

“Together We Rise perfectly captures the spirit of this event. When women support one another, share their expertise and champion each other’s success, the benefits extend far beyond the individual to families, businesses and entire communities,” Ms McLellan said.

Members can access a discounted ticket price using their member code, while non-members can join RRR Women to unlock member benefits and become part of a growing network of women making an impact across Queensland.
