2026 Brisbane Long Lunch: Bringing City and Country Together

The RRR Women Brisbane Long Lunch: Bringing City and Country Together welcomed women from across Queensland for an afternoon of connection, conversation and celebration during the opening weekend of the Ekka.

As the longest-running event on the RRR Women calendar, the Brisbane Long Lunch continues a valued tradition of bringing rural, regional and remote women together with their city-based counterparts to strengthen relationships, share experiences and create new professional and personal connections.

A highlight of the afternoon was the fireside conversation with sixth-generation farmer, lawyer and business leader Caitlin McConnel. Caitlin shared her powerful personal story of leadership, family and succession at Cressbrook Station, along with her experience advocating for regional Queenslanders and helping shape governance and policy across the state.

Expertly guided by MC Andrea Crothers, the conversation explored the opportunities and challenges facing rural Australia and reflected the importance of ensuring regional voices remain part of the decisions shaping Queensland’s future.

RRR Women gratefully acknowledges Gold Sponsor Aussie Helpers and Silver Sponsor Moore Australia, whose generous support helped make this special event possible.
