Women and wealth: RRR Women building financial confidence in women with special Toowoomba long lunch

Financial literacy and long-term economic security will be on the agenda at the RRR Women Toowoomba Long Lunch: Women and Wealth this week.

The event, supported by People First Bank and Braeside, will feature a powerful lineup of speakers, including Women of the World Founder Cathy Hunt AM, Rabobank Queensland State Manager Polly Saraiva and BMO Dalby Partner Michell McVeigh, who will share practical, evidence-based insights into budgeting, superannuation, and financial planning to support informed and confident decision-making.

RRR Women President Emma Clarke says the events is a continuing legacy for the non-profit organisation, which for more than 30 years, has empowered rural, regional and remote women through events, programs and advocacy.

“Financial literacy is a key pillar of economic security for women, particularly for those living in rural and regional communities,” Emma said.

“This event is designed to provide practical tools and expert insights that women can take away and apply in their everyday lives, whether that’s managing household finances, planning for retirement or growing their wealth.”

This premium professional and personal development event, hosted by MC Caitlin Crowley, is the perfect opportunity for individuals and organisations to invest in themselves and their teams.

“This event is a fantastic opportunity for workplaces to support the women in their teams,” Emma said.

“By investing in financial education and leadership opportunities, organisations are helping build stronger, more confident communities.”

The event is made possible with the support of Gold Sponsor People First Bank.

“The RRR Women Toowoomba Long Lunch: Women and Wealth will provide a space for open conversations about money, confidence and independence,” said Maria-Ann Camilleri, People First Bank Chief Customer Officer.

“Having supported Toowoomba and the Darling Downs for more than 150 years, we understand how important access to clear financial information is for regional women and their families.

“We are looking forward to being part of the conversation and connecting with the RRR Women community.”

Guests will enjoy a two-course long lunch and a three-hour drinks package while connecting with like-minded professionals. Guests can also browse and bid on the silent auction with items like jewellery vouchers, experiences, homewares and gift packs on offer.
