RRR Women Conference 2025 | Future Proofing Regional Queensland

June 5 - June 6

With overwhelming demand from our members, the RRR Women Conference will return in 2025. Join us in Rockhampton on June 5 and 6 for two days of connection, empowerment and inspiration under the theme ‘future proofing regional Queensland’.

The details

Where: Rockhampton Heritage Village
When: Thursday June 5-Friday June 6 2025
Who: All rural, regional and remote women are invited to attend conference, whether you’re representing your local community or industry, a business owner or volunteer, from the land or from the city, looking for professional and personal development in your career or life, or keen to connect with other rural, regional and remote women, the jam-packed agenda will have something for everyone.

What: Details to come on:

  • Expert panel discussion: We’ll launch the findings, stories and themes from the 2025 RRR Women Study, understanding the conditions impacting rural, regional and remote women in Queensland, alongside your wants and needs. We’ll discuss action to take to government and policy decision makers.
  • Keynote and breakout session: Regional Queensland communities’ role in the renewable energy transition.
  • Get creative in hands-on workshops
  • Farmer-turned-filmmaker Leila McDougall, will join us to share how her personal experience shaped a film which aims to shine a light on Australia’s farming community, followed by a panel discussion of experts working in fields who will provide vital information on services available to assist us all. The move is about a newly widowed mother who is left with the care of an alcoholic father-in-law and a failing farm. She is forced to forge a new path for her family, all while struggling to pick up the pieces of her life.
  • Celebrating three decades of RRR Women: A snapshot of our history and impact, plus what we can learn from our founders to future-proof RRR Women.
  • Hear from your peers in rural business about their journey outside capital cities
  • Attend breakout sessions on leadership and empowerment, plus personal and professional skills development.
  • And of course two full days of networking and connection with rural, regional and remote Queensland women.
