A Time For Giving
It is with absolute pleasure that, on behalf of Queensland Rural, Regional and Remote Women’s Network (QRRRWN), that we extend an invitation to our final event for the year, A Time For Giving.
This year’s event will be held on Friday, December 13th at Living Silk, 245 Given Terrace, Paddington.

Tracey Hartman – ‘Cattlemen in Pearls’
Tracey Hartman is five authors who penned the book ‘Cattlemen in Pearls : Celebrating women in agriculture’ commissioned by Ian and Anne Galloway. Raised in Central Queensland on a beef cattle property it was the crackle of the wireless and the sound of the rural reporter’s voice that steered her into journalism. She made it on to the airwaves herself, then worked in communications and project management for several charities and corporates before finding her niche as an oral historian and writer, with a focus on self-published biographies.

Rememberance – Jan Darlington
Rosemary will also share with us ‘Remembrance’ of QRRRWN’s founder Jan Darlington. Jan was an inspirational woman from Monto. She teamed up with the first Executive Committee – Pam Somerset, Margaret Cruickshank and Georgie Somerset, and QRWN was born.
Please join us for an opportunity to foster and create connections and to relax and enjoy the gorgeous Living Silk and the opportunity for some Christmas shopping!
During the evening, there will be raffles raising much-needed funds to increase QRRRWN’s capacity to offer support to Queensland women to grow, strengthen their skills and networks and to lead, wherever their feet are planted.
