Hello, my name is Bullecourt Barbara. I know, it’s a bit of a mouthful, but my heritage dictates that I be named after a property in the Tambo district.
If it’s good enough for Prince George to have received one, then I’m fine with that, however my friends have started calling me Barb.
I am a true blue Australian limited edition Tambo Teddy bear.
I was born in the little town of Tambo the ‘outback Teddy capital of Australia’ in February 2023, and made entirely of pure wool. My DNA can be traced back as far as thirty years to the tenacious women who saw an opportunity to support, celebrate and add value to our merino industry. From here I was gifted to live with the wonderful RRR Women’s organisation through a heartfelt adoption process of a shared vision, and a shared 30 year birthday milestone. Celebrating and acknowledging women, like Mary Southerland, Charm Ryrie and Helen Sargood, the original founders of Tambo Teddies, who continue to support and connect their visions, and bring together Rural, Regional and Remote Women.
I am 35 cm tall and Blondish.
I am great to cuddle and as you can see I have a very unique paw.
I was donated to RRR Women by my wonderful birth parents, Alison Shaw and Tammy Johnson, current owners of Tambo Teddies, who have seen a need to continue the legacy and vision of the original founders. Please read about my parents and my siblings
I am really looking forward to my new journey and will attend all the upcoming RRR Women events. I’d love you to follow my journey and share my trip with as many friends as possible. I will be needing a new family and home by December 2023. You can do this by purchasing some raffle tickets to support our 30 year milestone and reflect on the vision our amazing founders had 30 years ago.
Follow me, and let’s make this journey one of reflection and celebration.
Raffle: Single ticket $5.00 or get 5 tickets for $20.00
Follow me and let’s make this journey one to remember, as we remember the 30 years of RRR Women!
My new home will be drawn during our AGM on 2nd December 2023. We sold 193 tickets and one of these ticket holders will be my new home! Barb can’t wait to see you and be part of your family!
